Here at Nature Sign Design we have a strict environmental policy, as we are committed to being as environmentally friendly as possible.
We will use only top quality UK materials. Our wooden lecterns are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified. When you see the FSC logo, you can buy timber products with the confidence that you are not contributing to the destruction of the world’s forests.
When considering what material to use, wood has to be high on your list of choices, as it acts as a carbon sink, a vital asset in these times of climate change and CO2 emissions.
We use solid aluminium sign material because of its recycle-ability. Although we can supply GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic, better known as Fibreglass) panels, this is not something we encourage as the production of GRP emits harmful gasses.
Our ‘green to the core’ panel is the only material that is 100% environmentally friendly. It is made from recycled kraft paper and tree resin. It can then be recycled once it reaches the end of its life as a sign panel.
We also try to stick to the following guidelines as closely as we possibly can:
- We recycle all paper and plastic products;
- We use only environmentally friendly paints and preservatives;
- We use local businesses wherever possible;
- Water and energy are carefully controlled;
- Staff are trained and educated in the importance of environmental issues.
We also ensure that when our installation team are working on site, that they follow health & safety procedures and protocols, and always wear the appropriate PPE.
Nature Sign Design reviews its environmental statement constantly, and strives to find new ways to conserve energy.
Please Note: If you require FSC certified products, please state at the point of ordering.
